Polish your notes

Dictate rough notes with the mic, enrich them into customer-ready prose, and bulk-polish your whole day from the dashboard.

Technicians

You write for the customer all day — the 3C, line descriptions, notes. Meridian lets you speak a rough version and have AI clean it up, one field at a time or your whole day at once. Do it as you work, or clear the backlog from the dashboard at the end of your shift.

Dictate, enrich, and translate one field

Find the button row under an enrichable field. Every enrichable text field — the 3C fields, line-item descriptions, customer and vehicle notes — has a small row of buttons: sparkle (Enrich), globe (Translate), mic (Voice to text), and clock (History). The mic only appears on browsers that support voice capture, like Chrome and Safari.

Dictate with the mic. Tap the mic to open Voice to text and tap the record button — the status reads Recording… tap to stop, and your words appear live in the transcript box. Under When applied: choose Replace or Append, then tap Use transcript to drop the rough text into the field.

Speak a rough note, then enrich it into customer-ready prose before you Apply.

Enrich the rough note. Tap the sparkle. A preview opens with your Original beside the Enriched rewrite. Click Edit to tweak the result, then click Apply to write it back to the field.

Translate if you need to. Tap the globe to translate to the shop's preferred language. Long-press the globe to open the Translate to picker and choose a different target language.

Nothing is ever lost. Tap the clock to open History — every version of the field in order, each tagged Original, Transcribed, Enriched, Translated, or Edited, with the active one marked Current. Click Revert to this on any older version to restore it; reverting keeps the current text in history too.

Polish your whole day from the dashboard

Open the Polish today's stories card. On the dashboard, the Polish today's stories card lists the line descriptions you wrote today that haven't been enriched yet, each with its order number and a count like 3 stories ready.

Pick the ones to polish and run it. Every story is checked by default — untick any you want to leave alone. Click Polish 3 stories (the count matches your selection). Each selected line gets the customer-ready rewrite and is applied automatically; the card reports Polished 3 of 3 stories when it finishes.

Dismiss what you don't want polished. Click the X on a story to hide it, or Dismiss all to clear the card. Dismissed stories stay gone for two days, then reset so tomorrow's work comes back fresh.

Clear the day's unenriched descriptions in one pass from the dashboard.

What happens behind the scenes

Enriching never overwrites your words silently — every step is versioned. The History timeline keeps a row for each transcription, enrichment, translation, and edit, so Revert to this can always take you back and nothing you dictated is truly gone. The Polish today's stories card is just that same enrichment run in bulk over the descriptions you authored today, applied to each line for you. Dismissals live only on the device you dismissed them on, and expire after two days so a story you skipped doesn't vanish forever.
