Signing in
Sign in with Google or a one-time email code — no password to remember — and sign out when you're done.
Meridian has no passwords. You sign in with your Google work account, or we email you a 6-digit code that proves it's you. Do this whenever you start a shift on a new device, or after signing out.
Before your first sign-in
Someone at your shop — usually the owner or manager — invites you from Settings → Users. Use the exact email address they invited. If you sign in with a different address, Meridian won't know which shop you belong to.
Open the sign-in page. Go to your shop's Meridian address and you'll land on the Sign in screen. It says "Continue with Google, or get a one-time code by email."
Choose your method. If your shop email is a Google account, click Continue with Google and pick your account — you're done, skip the rest of these steps. Otherwise, continue below to use an email code.
Enter your email address. Type your work email in the Email address field and click Continue.
Get the code from your inbox. The screen changes to Check your email and tells you "We sent a 6-digit code" to your address. Open that email and note the code.
Type the code. Enter the 6 digits in the Verification code field and click Sign in.
You're in. Meridian opens your shop's Dashboard. Your session stays active on this device, so you won't sign in again every day.
Sign out
Find the sidebar footer. Look at the very bottom of the left sidebar (on a phone, open the menu button first).
Click Sign out. You're returned to the sign-in page. Always sign out on shared computers — like the counter PC — before someone else uses them.
What happens behind the scenes
There's no password stored anywhere, so there's nothing to steal or forget. Each code works once and only for a short time. Signing in creates a secure session tied to your account, and everything you do in Meridian — orders you write, payments you record — is stamped with your name.
Troubleshooting
Check your spam or junk folder first — the email arrives within a minute or two. Confirm you typed your address correctly on the previous screen; click Use a different email to go back and try again. If it still doesn't arrive, ask whoever manages your shop's users to confirm which email address you were invited with.
Codes expire quickly and work only once. If you waited a while or requested more than one email, use the newest code. To get a fresh one, click Use a different email, re-enter your address, and click Continue again.
You'll see "Google sign-in didn't complete. Please try again." This usually means the Google window was closed early — just click Continue with Google again. If Google isn't set up for your shop, use the email code instead.
Meridian now tells you this at the point of entering your email, rather than sending a code that leads nowhere. It means that address isn't a member of any shop — usually a typo, or you were invited at a different address. Check the invitation email for the exact address, and ask whoever invited you to re-send it if you can't find it.
Someone at your shop has removed your access. Your history is kept, so re-enabling you takes a moment — ask an owner or manager to turn it back on under Settings, then Users & Access.
Click the Meridian wordmark at the top of the sign-in page. The app and the public site are on different addresses now, so the wordmark is a link back rather than a logo.
That page is for brand-new businesses setting up Meridian for the first time. If you see it, your email isn't attached to your shop yet — don't create a new shop. Ask your owner or manager to invite you from Settings → Users, then sign in again with the invited address.
